Do You Know How Powerful Praise Is?

Author : Sonia Taylor

Christian Articles Resource Cross Praise makes you stable. It makes you strong. It ' s hard to be negative when you are singing a song of praise to God.

"No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God" (Rom4:20, AMP).

When you praise Him, You are calling His Power, God’s presence responds when we move upon Him with worship! Do you believe it?

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb 11:1, KJV)

Is time to put your faith into action as praise elevates us into God’s presence and power, His Love upon Us. Put your faith into action through prayer and thanksgiving and you will experience the release of the power of God!

The Bible says that God inhabits in the praises of His people (Psalms 22:3). You will experience the depths of God’s goodness and greatness. The power of God which is in Christ is that power which God bestowed upon Him as a result of His death, resurrection and ascension.

When Jesus told us to pray, "Hallowed be Your name," He was teaching us:
His protocol. There ' s only one way to enter God ' s presence. David tells us how to approach God: "Know that the Lord He is God: it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves... Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name" (Psalm 100:3-4). the Bible says, "From the rising of the sun to its going down, the Lord ' s name is to be praised" (Psalm 113:3). The way to enter, to enjoy, and to live in God ' s presence - is through praise.

When you Praise and worship God, you are giving thanks for Jesus, to Jesus. You are worshipping Him, remember He is the way! At the Name of Jesus every knee should bow... and... every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:10-11). Praise and worship Jesus. That put an smile in God ' s face. He delights in us. See Zephaniah 3:17: "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." And He sings over us! God composes and song with us in mind, and sings it to us. As He holds us we might notice the ugly scars in His hands. How could we ever doubt his love? when we are humble and broken, God promises to quiet us with His love.

Since praise manifests God’s presence, then praise repels the presence of the evil one. An atmosphere which is filled with sincere worship and praise to God by humble and contrite hearts is disgusting to the Devil. He fears the power in the name of Jesus, and flees from the Lord’s habitation in praise.

"The sacrifice of praise shall glorify me: and there is the way by which I will shew him the salvation of God." (Psalms 50:23). "With a long life I will satisfy him And let him see My salvation." (Psalm 91:16)

God’s infinite power, even over death, assures us that His promises, unlike those made by others, will be fulfilled. We, like Abraham before us, can be “fully assured that what He had promised, He was able also to perform” (Romans 4:21).

But praise and worship is not only Declaring of thanks (Heb. 13:15), Clapping hands and shouting (Psalms 47:1), Musical instruments and dancing (Psm. 150:4), Singing praise songs (Psalms 9:11), Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19-20), Making a joyful noise (Psalms 98:4), By lifting our hands (Psalms 134:2), By being still (Psalms 4:3-5, 46:10) , By being loud (Psalms 33:3, 95:1-6); we all do it at church, we all enjoy it, we all feel the presence of God ...in that moment ... and then what? Go home, again our routinary life, living in automatic until next sunday.

Well, sorry but that is no what praise and worship is all about, praise and worship is the way how we live too. When we truly practice a Christian lifestyle God’s glory and power pours out upon all those around us. Our faith in the midst of turmoil flows from a heart given to a loving Father. Every breath carries words of compassion and affirmation to a hurting world. Those who live the Christian lifestyle live a confident life on the inside and outside. Being comprehensive, the Christian way touches on every element of life, but it focuses on the worship of the Creator God.

“This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it” (Hebrews 4:15-16).

Can you see how powerful praise is?
I challenge you to become a person of praise in every area of your life, in every moment of your day.

As you water your faith with your words, with the way how you live, thanking Him, giving praise and woship for every simple thing in your day, spreading the gospel, touching one heart at the time (remember actions speak louder than words), you ' ll receive His strength and power and will see God ' s hand moving in every area of your life!

Is time to put your faith into action as praise elevates us into God’s presence and power, His Love upon Us. Put your faith into action through your life, prayer and thanksgiving and you will experience the release of the power of God!
