God's Word And Christian Behavior

Author : Ron Matteson

Christian Articles Resource Cross God called you, through God’s true words, that you should obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 Thessalonians 2:14. Rely upon the power of God, through the Spirit of God, and accept your share of suffering for the sake of God’s true words, 2 Timothy 1:8. In the beginning was the Word, the Word was God and with God, and the Word was the true light that educates all persons. To all who accept the Word, Christ, Christ gave Spiritual power to become children of God. The Word became flesh and lived among us. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, John 1:1, 9, 12, 14, 17.

Since they will not grasp the love of the truth and possibly be saved, God is sending a power to mislead them and make them believe what is untrue, 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11. “I am aware of your faithfulness to the truth, and of your life in the truth, and it is my extreme joy to hear that you are living according to the truth,” 3 John 3-4. Jesus said to the Jews who believed in Jesus, “Make your home in my word and you will surely be my disciples, you shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free,” John 8:31-32. Do what God’s word tells you, by following it, or you will mislead yourselves,” James 1:22. Those who are doomed for destruction are the persons who did not open their minds to love the truth, and therefore gain eternal life in glory, 2 Thessalonians 2:10. They did not support God’s knowledge and had no affection for the fear of God. The errors of the uninformed lead to their death and the satisfaction of the careless works their own ruin, but whoever listens to God may live protected, and in quiet, fearing no bad fortune, Proverbs 1:29, 32-33.

The time will come when some will not desire to hear God’s true words. They will desire to have their ears filled with words that satisfy their own tastes, and they will seek out teachers who preach these words. These people will turn their ears away from the truth, and toward falsehood, 2 Timothy 4:3-4. Your God is indeed a faithful God, who is true to God’s covenant, and God’s kindness is for a thousand generations is toward those who love God by keeping God’s commandments, but God punishes those who dislike God. Keep and observe God’s commandments, statutes, and ordinances, which are before you today, and in return God will be true to the covenant and to the kindness, which God promised your fathers, to love and bless you, Deuteronomy 7:8-13. We have no power to act against the truth and we can only further the truth, 2 Corinthians 13:8. Persevere, and be attached to the hope found in God’s true words, then you can remain firm in the foundation of faith, Colossians 1:23. God said to Ezekiel, “prophesy against those who make up prophecies out of their own heads and follow their own spirit. Those who prophesy without seeing anything, (they have only minimal Spiritual power) are yet waiting for their words to come true. They say God has spoken but God has not spoken. They have misled My people saying peace when there is no peace and they will not set foot on the soil of Israel. The council of My people will not hear their prophesy and their names will be erased from the book of Israel,” Ezekiel 13:2-9. God’s words are the perfect law, the law of freedom, James 1:25. You must keep and observe all of God’s law, adding nothing to it, taking nothing away from it, Deuteronomy 12:32.

Things hidden belong to God, but things revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may observe all the words of God’s law. When all these things come upon you, the blessing, and the curse that I have offered you, you must then return to God and you must obey God’s voice with all your spirit, for growth. Do this in everything I enjoin on you today, both you and your children, then God will bring you back from captivity, and you will prosper more than your fathers have. God will circumcise your spirit, (for Spiritual growth, and power,) so you can follow God’s laws. God will also circumcise the spirit of your descendents, until all you love God with all your Spiritual nature, for all times. You must obey the voice of your God by keeping God’s commandments, and laws, that are recorded in the book of the law. God will take delight in your prosperity, but only if you obey the voice of God and keep the commandments and the laws of God written in the book of God’s law. If you return to God with all your desire and life, the law, enjoined on you today will be near you, in your mouth and in your spirit, for your compliance, Deuteronomy 29:28; 30:1-3, 5-6, 8-10, 14. All who do not accept the testimony of Jesus are testing the truthfulness of God since Christ, whom God sent, speaks God’s own words, the law, John 3:31, 33-34. God said, “I, the Lord, do not change and you have not ceased to be sons of Jacob. Since the days of your fathers, you have not obeyed My statutes, have not observed them. Return to Me and I will return to you,” Malachi 3:6,-7. Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant, so make sure you listen to Jesus when Jesus speaks. How shall we escape from a voice that warns us from heaven? Hebrews 12:24-25. There is only one Lawgiver, and Judge of that law, God, and God is the only judge who has POWER to acquit, or sentence, save life or destroy it, (James 4:12). When our faith, and knowledge, have matured (having more than minimal Spiritual power), we will no longer be childlike in the Spirit and at the mercy of possible false teachings. If we live by the truth in love, we shall grow in all ways into genuine Spiritual maturity (Spiritual power). Then as separate parts of the Spiritual body of Christ, we will perform perfectly in unity, in the power of love, with the other parts, according to our purpose and function, Ephesians 4:12-16.

When some persons hear the word of God, it is equivalent to seeds falling on the edge of a path. This means those who hear the words do not understand the words, and do not seek to gain an understanding (lack of spiritual nature). The devil will come and snatch away the words from that one’s spirit, and the words are soon lost. When some persons hear the word of God, it will be equivalent to seeds falling on rocky places where there is little soil. This means that those who hear the words will understand them, and will accept them with joy, but the words have little root. When trials or testing happen, due to these words, the words are no longer recognized and soon forgotten. When some persons hear the word of God, it will be similar to seeds falling among the thorns, and thistles. Those who hear the words will understand them, and accept them, but worldly desires, and the glamour of wealth, choke out the words. Then life becomes unpleasant, and the words are not followed but are ignored. When some persons hear the word of God, it will relate to seeds falling on good soil where good fruit is yielded, either a hundred fold, or sixty fold, or even thirty fold. This means those who hear the words will (spiritually) understand, and accept them, and trials, testing, or worldly desires will not cause one to turn away, not follow, nor forget, God’s words. Fruitful output is according to each person’s ability, either one hundred fold, or sixty fold, or thirty fold, depending upon how Spiritually active they are, (Spiritual power increases with Spiritual activity,) Matthew 13:4-8, 19-23.

God sent messenger after messenger, since God had compassion on God’s people and on God’s house. They mocked the messengers of God, they disliked God’s words, and they laughed at God’s prophets, until at last the wrath of God rose so high against God’s people, that there was no remedy for they suffered terribly, 2 Chronicles 36:14-16. God said, “Once they have eaten, and become prosperous, they will reject Me, turn to other gods, serve them, and break My covenant. Yes, even before I brought them to the land I swore to give them, I knew their intent,” Deuteronomy 31:20-21. Jesus said, “This is My warning to all who hear the words of the prophecy of this book. If anyone adds to the words, God shall add to that person the plagues mentioned in this book of Revelation. If anyone takes away any of the prophecy in this book, God will remove that person’s share of the tree of life, and of the Holy City, which are written in this book. The one who guarantees these revelations elevates the promise,” Revelation 22:18-20. God said, “You must not add anything to what I command you or TAKE anything from My words, but KEEP the commandments just as I lay them down for you,” (this passage applies to all Christians,) Deuteronomy 4:2. God said, “The law I lay on you today is not too difficult or remote. It is not in the heavens that you should say, ‘who will go up to heaven to get it that we may hear it and obey it?’ nor is it beyond the seas that you should say, ‘who will cross the seas to get it and bring it back to us that we may hear it, obey it?’ The word is very near to you, it is in your mouth and in your spirit, for your Spiritual observance,” (accomplished in God’s Spiritual invisible Church,) Deuteronomy 30:11-14.
